I’m running to be a reasonable voice in the State Assembly. For the last two years we have seen the Republican majority continually roadblock any real progress in Wisconsin. The legislature adjourned in March to give themselves an almost three-hundred-day vacation, leaving hundreds of bills sitting in committees. The rest of us are left wondering what the lawmakers are actually doing for us.
I don’t believe that the majority of voters in Central Wisconsin are on board with the extreme right cultural agenda of the current leadership. Central Wisconsinites care about clean water, safe and legal abortion access, and ensuring that our children are protected and nurtured, not targeted and marginalized.
I grew up around Central Wisconsin, and a am a proud graduate of St. Norbert College in De Pere, I have lived in Schofield for the last 15 years with my husband and four children. I currently serve as the an elected Alder for the City of Schofield, representing Ward 1.
I have spent my career working for nonprofits and currently work for Mt. Sinai Congregation and as a Social Media Manager for several local and national nonprofits.
I have been proud to call Central Wisconsin my home, but I am unsettled with the direction we seem to be heading. My goal is to make sure that every citizen of the 85th Assembly District is not only heard, but also valued and respected.
